and Sewerage, and covers Shreveport during World War II. |

Roland Jones, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, moved to
Shreveport in 1840 to practice law. Member of the State House of Representatives,
1844-1848; district judge in Caddo Parish 1851-1852; 1860-1868; served in Congress
1853-1855. He died in Shreveport, February 5, 1869. The collection includes family
correspondence between Jones and his wife, Anne, and their children and other family
members and friends. Genealogical material on Jones, Pickett, and Randall families.
