    Slides and Audio Tapes
1   "City Song" multimedia slide and audio presentation prepared for Shreveport’s Sesqui Centennial Celebration in 1985. There are approximately 750 35mm slides, a 7 inch reel of audio tape and instructions for showing the presentation at the Chamber of Commerce. The slides consist of historical images of Shreveport (many from the LSUS Archives) and current (ca. 1985) images of Shreveport buildings, activities and people. The slides were originally in 15 slide projector carousels but were removed for archival storage.
2 - 3   "Heritage and Horizons" multimedia slide and audio presentation prepared in 1978 as a "gift to the City of Shreveport by the Shreveport Jaycees." It was produced by Jack Hodges, III Communications, Inc. The slides consist of historical images of Shreveport and current (c.a. 1978) images of Shreveport buildings, activities and people. The slides were originally in projector carousels but were removed for archival storage. There were two versions:
3 Projector Set (3 carousels) – Approximately 240 35mm slides, one audio
cassettes tape and one 7 in. reel of audio tape.
9 Projector Set (9 carousels) – Approximately 720 35mm slides, one audio
tape and one 7 in. reel of audio tape.
4   "Western Electric 15th Anniversary" multimedia slide and audio presentation produced in 1980 by Jack Hodges, III Communications, Inc. Most of the slide images are of the Mansfield Road plant construction, products produced, the assembly components and process, and some of the employees. Some aerial photos are also included. The 35mm slides (approximately 568) were originally in 15 projector carousels but were removed and placed in smaller boxes for archival storage. Two 7 inch reel audio tapes are also included in the collection.

Three multimedia slide and audio presentations prepared for Christian Services Organization’s fund raising event called Sister Margaret’s Poor Man’s Supper:

"A Vicious Cycle" dated February 16, 1978. There are approximately 225 35mm slides containing images of Sister Margaret talking to people, shotgun houses, poor and elderly people, etc. A script and one 5 inch reel of audio tape are also included. Scripting was done by Marc Rosenzweig and the narration was done by Larry Ryan of KCBL Radio.

"Rainbows" dated 1980. There are approximately 125 35mm slides containing images of poor and elderly people, shotgun houses, dirty neighborhoods, etc. One 5 inch reel of audio tape is included. The script was written by Ky Mason and Lori Minnear. It was produced by Howard Hart of KBCL Radio, and photographed by Tom Payne and John Graber.

"A Vicious Cycle" and "Rainbows" shared the same slide carousels. They were removed from the carousels and placed in slide boxes for archival storage.

"Dignity" dated February 1982. There are approximately 250 35mm slides and one 5 inch reel of audio tape with narration by Larry Ryan. The slides were originally in 9 carousels but were removed for archival storage. The images are of poor and elderly people, poor housing, etc. A mime character is used throughout the presentation. It was designed and programmed by Court Crow of Jack Hodges, III Communications, Inc. Credit is also given to Deni Pellman, Judi Mason Williams, Neil Johnson, Mike Silva, Alicia & James Springer and Larry Taylor.
